Fire and Safety
FIRE SAFTYA foundational fire and safety programme covering fire prevention, fire-fighting equipment, rescue and workplace safety.
Course detailsA diploma in fire and safety engineering covering the technical design of fire protection, detection and suppression systems.
The Diploma in Fire and Safety Engineering (DFSE) focuses on the engineering behind safety. Large buildings, factories and plants rely on carefully designed systems — fire detection, alarms, sprinklers, hydrants and smoke control — to keep people safe. DFSE students learn how these systems work, how they are installed and how they are maintained.
The programme suits students with a technical bent of mind who want to work with fire protection equipment and engineering projects, as well as on-site safety operations.
Eligibility conditions are set by the concerned council, board or university and may change from session to session. Our admission counsellors confirm your eligibility before you take admission.
DFSE has a technical focus, so science students usually find it easier. Others may consider DFSM or the basic Fire and Safety programme.
