About Diploma in Pharmacy

The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) is the entry-level professional qualification for pharmacists in India. Pharmacists make sure patients receive the correct medicine, in the correct dose, with clear instructions on how to take it. They also manage stock, check prescriptions and advise patients on side effects and interactions.

D.Pharma combines the science of medicines with practical dispensing skills. Students study how drugs are made, how they act on the body and how they should be stored and sold under the law. After completing the diploma and the required practical training, students can register with the State Pharmacy Council and work as registered pharmacists.
